I’ve spent the last few months helping a new overseas client create a custom interactive teaching app for kids.
It’s a dynamic and fast-growing education company, well established in its space and acquiring smaller companies along the way. Leadership is Forbes 30 Under 30, and the creative team is super exciting!
The Project
They’re building a whole fantasy universe, complete with magical characters, folklore, multiple worlds with unique kingdoms, and more.
Students will choose an avatar, follow characters on engaging adventures, and get lessons along the way built from the client’s extensive teaching curriculum.
What I’m Doing
I’m helping to craft the lore of the fantasy universe, creating characters and backstories, and establishing special powers and magical rules. I’ll also be writing short stories and character dialogues that guide the students through their journies.
And I’m establishing a worldwide style guide, making it easier for distributed teams to track details of the levels and characters so there’s consistency across all assets.
So much fun, and a great way to merge my eLearning background with my fantasy fiction and worldbuilding experience.

What’s Next
The Beta is in user testing now, and adjustments will be made based on feedback from learners.
